All I knew about this guy was his number, that he was in his 20's, and he lived in DC. That's all it took to completely take over his Sprint account. I could have changed his billing address and ordered a bunch of cellphones and sold them on eBay. Or, the stalker's wet dream: adding GPS tracking to his account and monitoring his every move.

Google's US Search Market Dominance Hits All Time High

Traffic analysts Hitwise released new numbers today finding that Google's marketshare in US searches rose last month to an all time high of 67% of searches performed. Yahoo! Search (20%), MSN Search (5.25%) and Ask.com (4%) trail far behind.

Half of Google Adwords Traffic is from Worthless Link Farms

A couple of months ago I started in earnest tracking the advertising hits that Google generates for me. And what I found is not a happy picture. About 30-40% of the traffic generated - ie. the traffic that I pay for - comes from link farms, that is Web pages that have nothing more than a bunch of links that redirect to Google Adsense links...
